Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduate of LPN program with current NYS LPN licensure and registration.

Responsibilities

• Participates in patient centered quality improvement programs.
• Maintains current LPN knowledge and competence.
• Supports NYULH missions, philosophy, standards, and goals.
• Collects patient health data using assessment techniques and instruments.
• Enforces NYULH and FGP policies including HIPAA and Compliance.
• Coordinates unit activities to provide patient care in a healing environment.
• Assists with maintaining patient flow and chart readiness for physicians.
• Performs medication administration and injections per guidelines.
• Communicates with patients about their care using respectful terminology.
• Acts as a resource for nursing staff and providers.
• Contributes to service standards and patient experience improvements.
• Ensures safety and timely closure of encounters.
