Responsibilities

• Complies with Kaiser Permanente quality, safety, and emergency policies and procedures.
• Maintains safe, therapeutic patient care environment and infection control practices.
• Assists physicians and other providers in care and treatment of patients and coordinates schedules.
• Performs routine and specialized nursing procedures per physicians orders and approved plan.
• Documents patient information in medical records and communicates changes to the team.
• Orientates and trains new employees and may supervise nursing assistants or reception staff.
• Maintains inventory of supplies and equipment used by the department.
• Demonstrates service quality and culturally sensitive care to patients and colleagues.
