Qualifications

• Certification as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).
• Caring personality and demeanor.

• Ability to read, write and speak English.

Responsibilities

• Enhancing the clinical care and quality of life of residents.
• Preparing and administering medications as ordered by the physician.
• Checking residents daily to ensure proper treatment and assess status.
• Keeping the RN Supervisor informed about residents, staff and related matters.
• Implementing changes as directed by the RN Supervisor or Director of Nurses.
• Administering professional nursing procedures per facility policies.
• Completing all required LPN record-keeping forms on admission, discharge or transfer.
• Giving and receiving nursing reports at shift start and end.
• Investigating complaints and grievances and reporting accordingly.
• Presenting a professional image to residents and families.
• Adhering to company policies and standards.
