Job summary

Stellar Care Group is seeking an experienced Licensed Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse to join our in-person team for day shifts in a long-term care setting. The role involves direct nursing care, medication administration, and supervision of STNAs and unlicensed caregivers.

We require an active Ohio nursing license and a commitment to resident comfort and safety. The position offers full-time or part-time hours with pay starting at $30 per hour, depending on experience and shift.

Qualifications

• Licensed Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse in Ohio
• Current nursing license required
• Experience in long-term care preferred
• Strong organization and communication skills

Responsibilities

• Provide general nursing care to residents in a nursing facility.
• Explain procedures and treatments to residents to gain cooperation, understanding, and to prevent apprehension.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques.
• Prepare equipment and aid Physician during treatment and examination of residents while maintaining awareness of safety and comfort.
• Maintain awareness of comfort and safety needs of resident.
• Supervise the nursing practices in the facility directed toward restoring and maintaining residents' capabilities at maximum mental and physical level.
• Observe residents, record significant conditions and reactions and notify Physician or Supervisor of resident’s condition and reaction to medications, treatments and significant incidents after assessing the condition of the patient.
• Document nursing history and physical assessment for assigned residents
• Use of Point, Click, Care for electronic documentation.
• High level of organization, communication, and clinical skills needed to perform the job successfully in addition to demonstrating the required core competencies.
• Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with company policies. Responsibilities include planning, assigning, and directing work, addressing complaints and resolving problems. Supervises STNA's and unlicensed caregivers.
