Job summary

The Port Orchard Freestanding ED is seeking a compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to deliver nursing care under physician or RN supervision. You will assess resident needs daily, support comfort, and maintain accurate documentation in a fast-paced ED setting.

Responsibilities include performing routine procedures, medication administration, pre/post-operative instruction, and collaboration with the inter-disciplinary team to ensure patient safety and exceptional care.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Practical Nursing program or equivalent
• One year of related work experience
• Licensed Practical Nurse: WA license upon hire
• Basic Life Support (CPR) - CPR/BLS upon hire

Responsibilities

• Participates in the execution of the nursing process and provides care based on a defined model; attends to general care and comfort of patients.
• Observes, reports and documents signs and symptoms; recognizes changes and reports to RN.
• Reiterates instructions regarding medications and pre/post-operative information; partakes in patient/family teaching.
• Prepares and performs routine procedures and coordinates specimen collection and lab orders; monitors IV therapy and medications.
