Job summary

Prisma Health is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse for day shift at the Greer Medical Campus. Under supervision of a Registered Nurse/Physician, you will provide nursing care, collect data, monitor patient status, and educate patients and families.

Responsibilities include documenting vitals, administering medications, and maintaining confidential medical records while following the individualized plan of care. 1 year LPN experience preferred or residency completion.

Qualifications

• Completion of an LPN program recognized by the State Board of Nursing.
• One year of LPN experience.
• In lieu of one year of LPN experience, Prisma Health Nurse Residency Program or a comparable residency from another organization.
• In lieu of completion of an LPN program, program equivalency recognized by the State Board of Nursing.
• In lieu of one year of LPN experience, candidates enrolled in an accredited LPN to RN transition program.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care for patients under supervision.
• Collect and document data related to patient status and responses.
• Monitor vital signs, drains, dressings, and lab values as assigned.
• Maintain confidentiality and accuracy of patient records.
• Administer medications per policy and document administration.
• Orient patients and families to room and unit routines.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
