Job summary

Recovery Unplugged Behavioral Health is seeking a dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our nursing team at our mental health treatment facility in Fort Lauderdale. The LPN will administer medications, monitor patient health, perform phlebotomy, and support admissions and discharge processes with a trauma-informed, compassionate approach.

The role requires an active LPN license and strong documentation skills, with preference for experience in behavioral health or addiction treatment.

Qualifications

• Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the applicable state.
• Experience in behavioral health, mental health, substance use treatment, addiction medicine, or related healthcare settings preferred.
• Ability to perform phlebotomy and blood draws.
• Strong assessment, communication, and documentation skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by medical providers.
• Monitor and document patient vital signs, symptoms, and overall health status.
• Observe patients for changes in condition and communicate concerns to the appropriate medical staff.
• Perform phlebotomy and specimen collection as required.
• Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation in accordance with company policies and regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, registered nurses, therapists, and other treatment team members to support patient care.
• Assist with admissions, assessments, medication reconciliation, and discharge processes.
• Support patients with compassionate, professional, and trauma-informed care.
• Ensure compliance with all safety, infection control, and medication administration protocols.
• Participate in emergency response situations as needed.
