Job summary

SEARHC in Sitka, AK seeks a Registered Nurse for Long-Term Care to provide direct patient care across the lifespan with a focus on acutely ill and post-operative patients. You will assess, plan, and implement nursing care, coordinate with the care team, and educate patients and families while maintaining high quality standards.

Requirements include an Associate’s degree in Nursing, Alaska RN license, BLS, and ongoing competency validation.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
• Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse license in Alaska.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Clinical competency within 3 months and every 3 years.
• High Risk Competency within 3 months and every year.

Responsibilities

• Performs comprehensive patient assessments and develops individualized plans of care.
• Implements and evaluates nursing interventions and patient responses.
• Administers medications and treatments per orders and policy.
• Documents assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the EHR.
• Collaborates with providers and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care.
