Senior Helpers - Schaumburg is seeking a compassionate Live-In Caregiver to provide in-home support for clients needing daily assistance and health management. You will tailor care plans to promote independence, dignity, and safety while building trusting relationships.

Responsibilities include monitoring vital signs, assisting with ADLs, memory care, safe mobility with Hoyer lifts, meal preparation, light housekeeping, and end-of-life support when needed.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in senior care, assisted living, nursing homes, or home health environments.
• Certification in CPR and first aid is required; hospice or dementia training is a plus.
• Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or disabilities is preferred.
• Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting with Hoyer lifts and assisting with mobility needs.
• Excellent observational skills for patient monitoring and recognizing health changes promptly.
• Compassionate attitude with excellent communication skills to engage with clients and their families.

Responsabilités

• Monitor patient observations, including vital signs, to track health status and report changes promptly.
• Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, mobility, and toileting.
• Support clients with memory care needs, including Alzheimer's and dementia care strategies.
• Utilize specialized equipment such as Hoyer lifts and catheter care tools to promote safe mobility and hygiene.
• Prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary requirements while maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards.
• Conduct home safety assessments, cleaning, laundry, and light housekeeping to ensure a safe living environment.
• Provide compassionate support in hospice settings or during end-of-life care situations.
