The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to culturally sensitive therapy and the skills necessary to provide exceptional mental health care in an outpatient setting.

About the Organization

Solace Behavioral Health Center is a progressive and inclusive outpatient facility located in Glendale, Arizona. Our mission is to deliver high-quality mental health services tailored to the unique needs of our diverse patient population, which includes individuals from various ethnic and cultural backgrounds, LGBTQ+ communities, and immigrant groups. We take pride in fostering a supportive and welcoming atmosphere that emphasizes respect for all cultures and identities, ensuring that every client feels valued and understood.

Work Environment

As a remote position, this role allows for greater flexibility in balancing personal and professional responsibilities while still benefiting from a collaborative environment with colleagues and supervisors. You will be an integral part of a vibrant team that emphasizes teamwork, cultural awareness, and ongoing learning. Our clinic operates Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with opportunities for slight scheduling adjustments as needed to meet patient demands.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments through culturally sensitive methods that accurately capture patients' backgrounds and experiences.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans that draw on evidence-based therapeutic interventions, ensuring that they reflect the cultural and personal contexts of patients.
  • Facilitate engaging individual, family, and group therapy sessions aimed at fostering resilience and coping strategies among patients.
  • Collaborate seamlessly with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists and psychologists, to provide integrated care that addresses the full spectrum of mental health needs.
  • Provide timely crisis intervention support during critical situations, demonstrating professionalism and compassion under pressure.
  • Educate patients and their families about mental health issues, available treatment options, and support resources, empowering them to make informed decisions about their care.
  • Ensure compliance with legal and ethical standards by maintaining accurate, confidential documentation of therapy sessions and treatment progress.
  • Take part in regular case conferences, team meetings, and training sessions that focus on enhancing cultural competence and best practices in therapy.
  • Stay up-to-date on developments in mental health research and culturally attuned practices to continuously improve patient care.
Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work closely with a richly diverse clientele, tailoring your therapeutic approaches to meet the needs of various groups, including ethnic minorities, LGBTQ+ individuals, and those navigating the complexities of immigration. Your expertise will play a crucial role in breaking down barriers to mental health care and delivering effective support to those often marginalized in traditional healthcare settings.

Qualifications

  • A valid and current professional license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the state of Arizona.
  • A profound understanding of various mental health disorders and evidence-based treatment practices, coupled with expertise in cultural competence in therapeutic interventions.
  • Experience in providing both individual and group therapy using inclusive and culturally responsive methodologies.
  • Demonstrated crisis intervention skills, with the ability to maintain composure amidst challenging circumstances.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills that allow for the building of strong rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds.
  • Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems, ensuring efficient documentation and data management.
  • A strong commitment to upholding professional boundaries, ethical standards, and client confidentiality.
  • The ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment, contributing positively to the team's overall goals.
Preferred Experience
  • Previous work experience in outpatient mental health settings, engaging with culturally diverse populations.
  • Demonstrated involvement in community outreach initiatives focused on mental health awareness and education.
  • Additional certifications in specialized therapeutic techniques relevant to diverse or underrepresented groups.
