Job summary

Twin Lakes Rehabilitation and Nursing is seeking a dedicated Laundry Aide to maintain a clean, sanitary, and safe environment for residents, staff, and visitors. You will handle daily laundry tasks, assist with linen distribution, and support housekeeping operations to help prevent infections and sustain facility hygiene standards.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent; healthcare or residential cleaning experience is a plus but not required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous healthcare or housekeeping experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to follow instructions and maintain confidentiality.
• Strong time management and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Cleaning & sanitizing: Clean and disinfect resident rooms, bathrooms, common areas, hallways, and other areas daily.
• Trash removal: Collect and dispose of waste per safety protocols.
• Floor care: Sweep, mop, vacuum, maintain floors in all areas.
• Laundry support: Collect, sort, and deliver linens and personal laundry.
• Restocking supplies: Replenish soaps, toilet paper, towels in resident rooms/bathrooms.
• Report maintenance needs: Identify and report equipment or safety issues to the appropriate dept.
• Adhere to safety standards: Follow PPE and chemical handling protocols.
• Resident interaction: Engage respectfully with residents while maintaining privacy.
• Cleaning equipment: Use and maintain housekeeping tools.
• Assist with special cleaning projects: Deep-clean windows, walls, etc.
