Job summary

Carebase is seeking a Kitchen Assistant at Honey Lane Care Home to support the Chef in preparing nutritious meals for residents. You will maintain cleanliness and safety in the kitchen and assist with serving meals, while engaging with residents in a friendly, caring manner.

The role requires adherence to HACCP, Health & Safety and COSHH standards. Training is provided, with shifts including weekdays and alternate weekends in a supportive team environment.

Responsibilities

• As our Kitchen Assistant you will assist our Chef in preparing and cooking a variety of nutritious meals for our residents.
• You’ll keep the kitchen clean, safe and tidy and help with serving meals while interacting with residents daily.
• Understand and comply with HACCP, Health & Safety, COSHH and Environmental Health.
• Ensure kitchen equipment is in full, safe working order and report faults to the Chef and Head Caretaker
