Job summary

Cleveland Park Animal Hospital in Great Falls, VA is seeking a Kennel Attendant to provide daily care and support for hospitalized and boarding animals. You will help keep their environment clean, safe, and comfortable and assist hospital staff in a fast-paced setting.

The role requires physical stamina and a caring attitude toward dogs, cats, and other pets, while supporting the team with routine tasks and compassionate animal care.

Qualifications

• Dependable, hardworking, and passionate about animal care in a team environment.
• Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting, bending, and cleaning.
• Comfortable working with a variety of animals (dogs, cats, etc.) of different sizes and temperaments.
• Previous experience with animals or in a veterinary/boarding environment is often preferred but not always required.

Responsibilities

• Feed, walk, and monitor animals, observing for general health and behavior changes.
• Clean and sanitize kennels, runs, cat condos, and animal areas to maintain a safe, sanitary hospital environment.
• Assist veterinary staff as needed, which may include helping with animal restraint, bathing, cleaning, or transporting patients within the hospital.
• Perform manual labor and heavy cleaning tasks, including disposing of waste and maintaining laundry or overall facility cleanliness.
• Maintain consistent schedules, including every-other-weekend and holiday shifts, and weekday duties.
