Job summary

Happier At Home – Northeast Iowa is hiring an In-Home Senior Caregiver to support seniors in their own homes with companionship, personal care, meals, and mobility assistance. You will monitor health, document changes, and coordinate with the care team.

The role requires compassion, reliability, and strong communication; a HS diploma, 18+ age, and at least 1 year of caregiving experience are required. A valid driver’s license is also needed.

Qualifications

• Compassionate, patient, and reliable.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently.
• Must be at least 18 years of age with a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 1 year of caregiving experience required.

Responsibilities

• Provide companionship and emotional support.
• Assist with personal care, including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting.
• Prepare meals and assist with feeding when needed.
• Perform light housekeeping and laundry.
• Provide medication reminders.
• Assist with mobility, transfers, and fall prevention.
• Accompany clients to appointments or run errands.
• Monitor and report changes in client condition.
• Maintain accurate documentation and communication with the care team.
