Job summary

Comfort Keepers is seeking a compassionate home care aide to provide personal care and support to clients in their homes under the established Personal Care Program.

Responsibilities include assisting with daily living activities, light housekeeping, meal preparation, medication reminders, and documenting services. The role requires a valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and adherence to safety and confidentiality policies; background checks are mandatory.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Bondable and pass background checks (criminal background, driving record, credit history, references) and random drug testing.
• Valid driver's license and automobile insurance.

Responsibilities

• Performs duties as assigned on the personal care Service Plan.
• Assists with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, toileting, grooming, oral hygiene, ambulation).
• Provides light housekeeping and laundering of client garments/linens.
• Assists in meeting nutritional needs with meal planning, preparation, grocery shopping, dishes, and kitchen clean-up.
• Assists client with ambulation/transfers as specified in the Plan of Care.
• Reminds client to take self-administered medications.
• Observes and reports changes to supervisor in a timely manner.
• Maintains professional communication with clients, family, and co-workers.
• Completes required documentation of services delivered and submits timely.
• Uses equipment safely and maintains client confidentiality.
