Job summary

Safe and Sound Home Care in North Mississippi is looking for Private Duty Caregivers to support older adults and adults with disabilities in their homes. You will provide compassionate, personalized care and promote independence.

Responsibilities include assisting with dressing, grooming, hygiene, meals, transportation to appointments, light housekeeping, and engaging clients with activities. Background checks and drug screening are required; weekend availability is preferred.

Qualifications

• Have reliable transportation with a valid driver's license and valid insurance.
• Are available to work some weekends.
• Have at least 1 year of experience (preferred, not required).
• Must pass background screening requirements and undergo drug testing.

Responsibilities

• Support older adults and adults with disabilities in their homes by providing redirection, stability, and oversight.
• Assist with dressing, grooming, hygiene, and meals with kindness and patience.
• Help with routine tasks like laundry and light cleaning to keep spaces neat.
• Provide transportation to appointments, run errands, and assist with grocery shopping.
• Engage clients with conversations, music, crafts, and activities to promote well‑being.
• Offer specialized care for individuals living with Alzheimer's, dementia, stroke recovery, Parkinson's, diabetes, and end‑of‑life needs.
