Job summary

Visiting Angels Bettendorf is hiring an In Home Caregiver - Housekeeper to support seniors in the Quad Cities area, including Eldridge. Duties include light housekeeping, meal prep, mobility assistance, transportation and companionship. Valid driver’s license is required; training in dementia/Alzheimer’s care is available for growth.

Positions offer multiple shift options and a path to develop skills in home care. Excellent benefits are provided to support caregivers in their important work.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must have valid Driver's License.
• Excellent knowledge of emergency response and first aid.
• Respectful, compassionate and good time management.

Responsibilities

• Help clients take prescribed medication.
• Assist with ambulation and mobility.
• Assist with personal care and hygiene.
• Plan and prepare meals with clients.
• Do shopping or accompany clients shopping.
• Perform light housekeeping.
• Provide companionship and report incidents.
• Act quickly in emergencies.
