Job summary

HomeWell Care Services, Inc. in Indiana is seeking compassionate Caregivers to join our team. You will provide non-medical, one-on-one assistance to seniors wishing to age in place at home, building trusting relationships and delivering empathetic support.

No healthcare certification is required, but CNA/HHA or experience with geriatric care is preferred. A valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and the ability to travel up to 15 miles are expected.

Qualifications

• No healthcare certification required, but CNA/HHA or 6 months caring for geriatric, chronically ill, or disabled persons preferred.
• Experience with Dementia and Alzheimer's care a plus.
• Daily access to email, the Internet, and a mobile phone.
• Pass a criminal background check (national and any required by the state).
• Proof of current, negative TB test.
• Must be physically able to lift/push/pull ~25 lbs.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation; proof of automobile insurance.
• Ability to travel 15 miles for scheduled shifts.
• Compassionate heart for older adults; excellent communication; mature, caring, punctual, and reliable.

Responsibilities

• Social companionship.
• Assist with daily living tasks such as feeding, reminders, bathing/dressing, personal hygiene, grooming, toileting, dressing, light housekeeping, laundry and cooking.
• Transportation to appointments, errands and social outings.
• Standby assistance with transfers.
• Overnight safety assistance.
