Job summary

Amada Senior Care Cumming is seeking a compassionate Caregiver to support clients at their Canton, GA homes under RN supervision. This non-exempt role emphasizes safety, dignity, and quality of life for clients requiring daily assistance.

The caregiver provides personal care (bathing, grooming, dress), light housekeeping, meal prep, and helps with mobility and medication reminders, following a care plan and company policies.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Current CPR Certification.
• Current TB test (TB/TST/PPD tests, if applicable).
• Valid driver's license with reliable transportation.
• Valid state required proof of auto insurance.
• Minimum of one year of documented experience.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively.
• Self-directing with the ability to work with little direct supervision.
• Empathy for the needs of the client.
• Treat clients, families, staff, and the public with courtesy and respect; presents a positive public image.
• Works as a team member.
• Ensures confidentiality and security of the client’s medical information.

Responsibilities

• Provide client services as directed by the Director of Nursing or Registered Nurse Supervisor.
• Provide personal care to the client, including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting.
• Perform light housekeeping and meal preparation.
• Assist in feeding the client and remind about self-administration of medications.
• Help with walking, transferring, and mobility as needed.
• Take and record vital signs and monitor client health.
• Ensure client safety, privacy, and adherence to care plans.
