The Housekeeper/Aide at Ciena Healthcare provides cleaning services to create a safe, sanitary, and homelike environment for residents, staff, and visitors at Ely Manor in Michigan.

Responsibilities include daily room and common area cleaning, proper waste disposal, posting safety signs, following chemical safety rules, and cross-training in laundry to assist as needed. Minimum GED or high school diploma; preferred one year housekeeping experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Prefer one year housekeeping experience.
• Attention to detail and ability to follow procedures.

Responsibilities

• Clean assigned resident rooms, bathrooms and common areas daily.
• Dispose of trash and waste per facility policies and procedures.
• Post safety hazard signs when housekeeping activities pose hazards.
• Follow safety instructions when using chemical substances; refer to MSDS.
• Cross train in Laundry and assist as needed.
