Job summary

Monarch Healthcare Management is a mission-driven company delivering short-term rehabilitation and long-term care across Minnesota. The Housekeeping Aide helps maintain high cleanliness standards in the Rehabilitation Center, following established rules, policies, and procedures to secure resident well-being.

You will clean resident rooms, nurse stations, and common areas, support infection control, and participate in ongoing quality improvement.

Qualifications

• Experience in healthcare, skilled nursing facility or assisted living community.
• Must be able to work with other staff and communicate appropriately with residents, visitors and staff.
• Must be willing to follow supervisors and be a team player.

Responsibilities

• Daily Cleaning & Room Maintenance: Clean and service resident rooms, nurses’ stations, break rooms, and dietary kitchens; dust, polish, mop, disinfect surfaces, and maintain sanitary conditions of all areas and equipment.
• Resident & Equipment Hygiene: Disinfect toilets, tubs, sinks, mirrors, wheelchairs, beds, utensils, and other equipment; change divider curtains as needed and ensure hygiene standards.
• Supply & Utility Management: Replenish room supplies, maintain orderly utility storage areas, and report equipment wear or damage for timely repair.
• Safety & Infection Control Compliance: Follow safety procedures, use chemicals properly with protective equipment, observe hazards, use proper body mechanics, and participate in drills.
• Facility Policies & Regulatory Compliance: Adhere to policies, infection control standards, and Minnesota Department of Health regulations; maintain knowledge of residents’ rights and confidentiality.
• Professional Development & Quality Improvement: Participate in continuing education, audits, inspections, and quality improvement programs.
