Job summary

Northway Health and Rehabilitation is seeking a compassionate and dependable Housekeeping Aide to join our team in Birmingham, AL. You will clean and sanitize resident rooms, common areas, and furnishings, following policies to maintain high cleanliness and infection prevention.

Requirements include basic housekeeping experience, ability to read/write English, and a patient, positive attitude toward the elderly.

Qualifications

• Housekeeping experience preferred.
• Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English.
• Must demonstrate patience, compassion, enthusiasm, and a positive attitude toward the elderly and disabled.

Responsibilities

• Perform cleaning duties in assigned areas according to established schedules.
• Clean and sanitize resident rooms, bathrooms, hallways, common areas, and furnishings.
• Dust, damp wipe, wash, sanitize, and polish fixtures, furniture, and surfaces.
• Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and infection prevention throughout the facility.
• Handle cleaning supplies and equipment safely.
• Respond promptly to resident and staff housekeeping needs.
