Job summary

Universal Health Services’ Palm Springs Treatment Center dba Michael’s House, The Addictions Division of UHS, Inc. is seeking a Full Time Housekeeper to maintain clean, sanitary facilities for residents, employees and visitors.

Duties include floor care, grounds upkeep, supply room organization, equipment operation, laundry assistance and adherence to safety standards. Ideal candidates will have GED or high school diploma, 1–2 years housekeeping experience, and a valid driver’s license.

• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to juggle multiple competing tasks and demands.
• Ability to pay continual attention to detail.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize workload and meet deadlines.
• Flexible and highly adaptable to change.
• A current, valid driver’s license is required for frequent business travel between locations.

Responsibilities

• Care and upkeep of flooring throughout facility when necessary and as scheduled.
• Keep grounds clean, including pool area and sidewalks, throughout property.
• Organize supply room.
• Move heavy furniture or objects.
• Upkeep and service of cigarette disposal mediums throughout property.
• Operates cleaning equipment (polishers, buffers, vacuums, washer/dryer, etc.).
• Maintain facility in a sanitary and infection-free condition.
• Daily disposal of trash and other disposable materials.
• Handle cleaning solvents and chemicals safely.
• Damp dust furniture, light fixtures, window sills, etc.
• Report repairs or equipment malfunctions to supervisor.
• Assist in laundry duties.
• Assist with housekeeping duties as necessary.
• Perform all other duties as required.
• Inspire client confidence in the FRN Staff and Model of Treatment.
• Juggle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Prioritize workload and meet deadlines.
