Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Experience in a long-term care facility preferred.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain all public and common areas throughout the day (lobby, restrooms, drinking fountains and floors).
  • Clean and maintain resident rooms and bathrooms.
  • Keep handrails clean and free of debris.
  • Clean walls, mirrors, windows, light fixtures and towel dispensers; remove dust and debris.
  • Empty trash cans and replace liners.
  • Sweep and mop floors.
  • Follow safety measures and use caution signage; keep supplies and chemicals out of residents' reach.
  • Operate and maintain housekeeping carts, equipment and storage areas safely and orderly.
  • Notify Director of Housekeeping / Administrator / Director of Nursing about safety concerns or supply needs.
  • Demonstrate excellent customer service and positive attitude.
  • Demonstrate excellent time-management skills.
  • Work well independently or as part of a team.
