Job summary

UMass Memorial Health is seeking a Dietary Aide to prepare and distribute meals to patients, staff, and visitors through the tray line, cafeteria, and events. The role emphasizes strict food safety and sanitation standards in a hospital setting.

The position supports Patients with meals in a fast-paced environment and requires following HACCP standards, with on-site shifts and opportunities for on-the-job training. Joining a team dedicated to quality care and customer service.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write, and comprehend English.
• Must be able to follow both written and verbal instructions.
• On the job training is available.

Responsibilities

• The dietary aide is responsible for the preparation and distribution of food to patients, employees, and the outside community through the patient tray line, the cafeteria, and functions.
• Maintain high sanitary standards in accordance with policies and procedures.
• Assist in maintaining quality service and meeting Press Ganey targets while following department instructions.
