Job summary

CommonSpirit Health is seeking a Cook to support patient and staff food services at Saint Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center in Phoenix. You will prepare and deliver meal trays, assist with food preparation, and ensure cleanliness and safety standards are met, contributing to a positive dining experience for patients.

Ideal candidates have at least one year of food service experience, a valid AZ Food Handler Permit or ServSafe certification, and a willingness to obtain certification within 30

Qualifications

• One (1) year of Food Service Experience.
• Food Handler Permit: AZ or ServSafe Certification AZ - within 30 days of hire
• High School Diploma or GED
• Cooking experience

Responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver meal trays, assist with food preparation, maintain cleanliness, ensure food safety compliance.
• Interact with patients regarding dietary needs.
• Monitor and maintain food temperatures during cooking, holding, and storage; prevent cross-contamination.
• Support team members in all areas of food services including cashier, retail, stocking, cleaning, tray service, dishwashing, and food prep.
