Swan Hospice in Monmouth County, NJ is seeking a compassionate Hospice Massage Therapist to join our team. You will provide massage therapy to terminally ill adult patients, promoting physical comfort and emotional well-being in their end-of-life journey.

You will collaborate with physicians, nurses, and social workers, develop individualized plans, and maintain detailed patient records. Travel to patient homes and care facilities is required; evenings and weekends may be involved.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience in massage therapy or hospice care.
• Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT/CMT) with graduation from an accredited program and specialized training in end-of-life care, palliative care, or oncology massage.

Responsibilities

• Provide massage therapy to terminally ill adult patients, focusing on relaxation, pain management, and physical comfort.
• Develop and implement individualized massage therapy plans that align with patient goals and priorities.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including physicians, nurses, and social workers, to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations of patients to identify treatment needs and potential contraindications.
• Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient care, including treatment plans, progress notes, and communication with healthcare teams.
• Participate in ongoing education, training, and professional development to stay current with industry best practices and advancements in massage therapy.
