Job summary

Frontier Hospice is seeking a Per Diem Hospice Aide (CNA) to join our compassionate team in Edmond and surrounding areas. This role works closely with our nursing staff to deliver hands-on care that honors patient dignity and comfort at the end of life.

The position requires a CNA certification, CPR, and at least 1 year of CNA experience in acute or long-term care. A driver’s license and reliable transportation are needed for home visits.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or G.E.D. required.
• Holds current unencumbered CNA certificate in the state.
• Minimum one year CNA experience in acute or long-term care; hospice experience a plus.
• Possess and maintains current CPR certification if state-mandated.
• Current driver's license, vehicle insurance, and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Provide personalized care following the care plan to ensure comfort and well-being of patients.
• Assist with personal care including bathing, oral hygiene, bedding changes, clothing, and shampooing.
• Deliver excellent customer service and compassionate support to patients and families.
• Support families by sharing knowledge and guidance in caring for terminally ill loved ones.
• Maintain accurate documentation per patient home care and agency standards.
