Job summary

Gentiva Health Services, Inc. is seeking a caring Hospice Aide/CNA to provide compassionate, in‑home personal care and emotional support to patients. You will assist with daily activities, mobility, and meal prep while observing patient conditions and documenting visits.

This role supports families in end‑of‑life care, with opportunities for growth within a dedicated hospice team. Ideal candidates hold an active CNA license, CPR certification, a valid driver's license with reliable vehicle, and

Qualifications

• Active CNA license in the state of employment is required.
• Current CPR certification is required.
• Driver’s license and reliable vehicle with insurance are required.
• Six months of direct patient care experience required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct personal care to terminally ill patients.
• Assist with personal hygiene, grooming, and toileting.
• Support safe mobility with walkers and wheelchairs.
• Help with meal preparation, feeding, and light housekeeping.
• Observe and report changes in patient’s condition.
• Offer emotional and psychological support to patients and families.
• Maintain accurate documentation of visits.
• Attend team meetings and participate in Quality Improvement activities.
• Practice infection control and follow safety protocols.
