Job summary

Parkview Health in Fort Wayne, IN is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant for Hospice. The role works under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, providing personal care and comfort to patients, observing and reporting conditions, and documenting the care performed.

The position is on-site, 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday 8am-5pm with every 4th weekend rotation. Qualifications include education: high school diploma or GED and completion of a State-approved CNA program; license/cert

Qualifications

• Must complete the skills competency upon hire.
• Excellent verbal and written communication required.
• Able to lift 50 pounds, up to 100 pounds with assistance.
• Prefer at least 1 year of patient-care experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care to patients under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
• Observe and report patient conditions and document care.
• Maintain confidentiality and promote comfort, safety, and quality of care.
• Operate within CNA scope; do not perform procedures requiring nursing licensure.
