Job summary

Empath Health is seeking a compassionate PRN Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our Home Health team in Hernando County and surrounding areas, including Spring Hill, Weeki Wachee, and Brooksville. The role offers flexible scheduling with 5-15+ home visits weekly, and potential expansion to part-time or full-time as the market grows.

The ideal candidate holds an ASHA CCC or is in the process of certification, has an active Florida SLP license, and at least 1 year of SLP experience,

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved college program meeting ASHA requirements for SLP license or in process of certification.
• Active Florida SLP license
• Minimum 1 year of experience as an SLP; home health care experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Perform initial and ongoing assessments including client functioning, swallowing, and communication.
• Develop care plans with physicians and care team.
• Provide patient and family education on swallowing strategies and communication techniques.
• Document services and progress in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team for holistic home-based care
