Job summary

PARS Therapy is seeking a dedicated home health Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) to join our team in Helotes, TX. You will support clients in developing and maintaining daily living and work skills, employing a holistic approach to tailor interventions to each individual's needs and environment.

Qualifications

• COTA certification is required.
• Home health or rehab experience preferred.
• Proven working experience as Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant.
• Knowledge of Occupational Therapy principles and practices.
• Experience with ADL evaluation tools is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Address client’s performance to support engagement in occupations affecting health and life quality.
• Select and adapt the appropriate OT treatment model and approach for interventions.
• Apply interventions to maximize safety and performance in ADLs and IADLs.
• Teach clients new ways of approaching tasks and break down activities into achievable components.
• Assess home and environments and advise on alterations.
• Recommend and train in adaptive equipment use.
• Educate family members and caregivers.
• Observe, note, and report progress toward treatment goals.
• Collect data and document processes followed.
• Regularly follow-up with client.
