Job summary

Maxim Healthcare Services, Inc. is hiring a Home Health Aide (HHA) to provide personal care to patients in their homes in Sanford, FL. The role includes following the plan of care, assisting with baths, dressing, feeding, and safety tasks, and documenting care performed with accuracy.

You will work with a supervising nurse, maintain CPR certification, and meet state/federal requirements. Competitive hourly pay, weekly paychecks, and comprehensive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Meets all training requirements per state and federal laws where applicable.
• Ability to read, follow written instructions and document care given.
• Possess and maintains current CPR certification.
• PPD or chest x-ray if applicable.
• Successful completion of Maxim screening examinations.
• Participation and completion of Maxim’s competency program.
• Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assist patient with and per plan of care: baths, oral hygiene, dressing, toileting, feeding.
• Take and record vital signs as ordered (temperature, pulse, respiration, BP).
• Perform safe transfers and ambulation.
• Provide exercise according to the plan of care.
• Perform ROM and simple procedures as ordered.
• Handle patient laundry.
• Ensure safety and proper use of equipment.
• Observe and teach home safety practices.
• Recognize emergencies and follow management procedures.
• Follow plan of care and complete all tasks assigned.
• Communicate clearly with client, family/caregiver and office.
• Observe and report changes to the assigned nurse supervisor.
