Job summary

Affordable Family Care Services - Raleigh is seeking a Personal Care Aide to assist seniors and individuals with disabilities at home. You will help with daily activities, hygiene, grooming and light housekeeping, while monitoring health and reporting changes to the care team.

Responsibilities include assisting with daily tasks, providing basic health care support, coordinating transportation, and gathering information from caregivers and medical staff.

Qualifications

• Access to reliable transportation to and from work.
• Vehicle must be insured.
• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Current TB test.
• Background check and drug screen; E-Verify eligible.

Responsibilities

• Help clients with personal hygiene, dressing, bathing and other daily tasks.
• Perform basic health care services for clients including checking vital signs or administering prescribed medications.
• Assist with light housekeeping, including cooking meals.
• Arrange or provide transportation for clients as needed.
• Collect information about conditions and treatment plans from caregivers, nurses, doctors and family members.
• Observe and report on each client's condition.
• Stay up-to-date with home health aide training, policies and procedures.
