Job summary

Kahak Health Care Services (KHCS) is hiring compassionate Home Health Aides to provide in-home care for clients across Washington, DC. You will assist with ADLs, monitor client well-being, and support independence under supervision of a nurse or case manager.

Candidates should have a high school diploma and DC HHA certification, CPR/First Aid, and be fluent in English. Flexible shifts, competitive hourly pay, and a collaborative team are offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• DC HHA certification and current CPR/First Aid.
• 6–12 months of home care experience preferred.
• Ability to read, write, and follow care plans in English.
• Criminal background check, drug screen, and TB test required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with personal care tasks such as bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and oral hygiene.
• Support mobility, transfers, ambulation, and use of mobility aids.
• Prepare meals, monitor nutrition, and assist with feeding.
• Perform light housekeeping and monitor client health status.
• Maintain documentation of care provided and report changes to supervisor.
• Provide companionship and emotional support.
