Job summary

Visiting Angels Sumter, SC is seeking a Part-Time Home Health Aide (HHA) to support clients in their homes across the local area. You will assist with personal care, meals, light housekeeping, and mobility, while ensuring safety and compassionate companionship.

The role requires strong communication, a valid driver's license, and First Aid training (provided if needed). Training in dementia/alzheimer’s care is available for growth.

Qualifications

• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license, car insurance, and a reliable personal vehicle to transport clients.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are a must.
• First Aid and emergency response training is required (provided if needed).
• Excellent time-management skills to juggle multiple duties.
• Reliable transportation to get to and from client homes as scheduled.

Responsibilities

• Help clients with personal care and hygiene.
• Assist with light physical activity or walks.
• Plan and prepare meals with clients.
• Handle light housekeeping duties.
• Report health changes or unusual incidents.
• Provide companionship and responsive support.
• Respond quickly in emergencies.
• Accompany and supervise clients during shopping trips.
• Remind clients to take medications as prescribed.
• Assist with mobility and ambulation at home and during appointments.
