Job summary

PurposeCare is seeking compassionate Home Health Aides to support clients in their homes across our Michigan service area. You will provide personal care, assist with daily living tasks, and help maintain safety and independence.

This role emphasizes dependable, patient care, one-on-one visits, and documentation of care provided. Training is provided, and opportunities to expand certification are encouraged.

Qualifications

• Age 18 or older.
• Active HHA or CNA certification or willingness to obtain certification.
• Willingness to complete competency and skills assessments.
• Ability to follow written care instructions and document services.
• Compassion, patience, and professionalism with vulnerable populations.
• Ability to work independently in home settings.
• Reliable transportation and ability to travel to client homes.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
• Willingness to complete TB testing, background screening, and onboarding requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care support including bathing, grooming, dressing, oral hygiene, and toileting.
• Assist with mobility, transfers, ambulation, and range-of-motion exercises per care plan.
• Prepare meals and assist with feeding as needed.
• Support medication self-administration through reminders (no independent med administration).
• Monitor and report patient condition and changes to the supervising nurse.
• Take and record basic vital signs when trained and assigned.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly client environment.
• Assist with linens and light client laundry as appropriate.
• Travel reliably to patient homes and assigned visits across your service area.
• Complete required in-service training, including annual dementia education.
