Job summary

FullShift Staffing is seeking compassionate Home Health Aides to work with a registered nurse and clinical team to carry out individualized care plans in patients’ homes in Long Beach, CA.

Responsibilities include assisting with daily living activities, mobility, meal prep, light housekeeping, and transportation support, while monitoring health status and reporting to the supervising nurse.

Qualifications

• Current and valid Home Health Aide certification.
• CPR certification required.
• Ability to lift at least 50 pounds.
• Availability to work on weekends, evenings, and holidays.
• Reliable transportation.
• Valid driver’s license and insurance.
• Prior home health experience preferred.
• Able to supervise and support rehab aides and students.
• Adherence to company policy and code of conduct.

Responsibilities

• Work with a registered nurse and other clinicians to provide care based on an individualized plan of care.
• Record your patient’s health status and report it to the nurse.
• Provide companionship and personalized care while encouraging independence and self-care.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living, including dressing, bathing, grooming, toileting, and eating.
• Provide mobility and transfer assistance, possibly using mechanical lift devices.
• Prepare meals and snacks; may include grocery shopping.
• Perform light housekeeping, including vacuuming, laundry, and linen changes.
• Assist with incontinence care.
• Assist with transportation needs.
