Job summary

Celestial Care in Wisconsin seeks male Personal Care Workers to join our home care team in Mount Pleasant. You will assist clients with daily living tasks as outlined in care plans established by an RN Supervisor.

Duties include recording care data, aiding with medications reminders, meal prep, personal care, ambulation, housekeeping, and accompanying clients to appointments. Requires at least one year of experience and reliable transportation.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of personal care experience verified by references.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Physically able to perform the duties.
• Must maintain patient confidentiality.
• Must have reliable transportation to and from assignments.
• Good personal hygiene and organizational habits.

Responsibilities

• Recording pertinent information pertaining to the client's care.
• Reminding clients to take medication at the appropriate time.
• Planning and preparing meals according to dietary requirements and feeding if necessary.
• Assisting with personal care including hair, oral hygiene, bathing, grooming, and dressing.
• Assisting with ambulation with or without mechanical aids.
• Assisting with routine bodily functions such as toileting.
• Maintaining a safe, clean environment through light housekeeping.
• Providing companionship and accompanying clients to appointments.
• Grocery shopping or other errands when needed.
• Performing other housekeeping tasks as indicated in the care plan.
• Observing and reporting changes in client's condition to the RN Supervisor.
• Accurately preparing daily records and submitting them to the office by date due.
• Participating in in-service education programs.
