Job summary

A Gentle Touch Home Care Las Vegas is hiring caregivers to provide in-home, nonmedical support for clients who need assistance due to age or physical/mental limitations. Roles include helping with daily living activities, meal planning, transportation, and companionship in a private home setting.

Applicants must have open availability and be comfortable delivering care in clients’ homes within Southwest Las Vegas.

Responsibilities

• The Caregiver provides service to a client based on and limited to a client’s care plan developed by the RN, the client, and/or the client’s family.
• Caregiver services are tasks necessitated by a client’s disability or chronic condition that limits the client’s ability to perform functional activities or daily living (ADL’s) and instrumental activities of daily living (IADL’s).
• Caregiver services vary depending on the needs and requirements of each individual client.
• Client needs and requirements are documented through the client’s functional assessment.
• These services involve direct care from cueing/prompting to total assistance.
• Caregivers will provide excellent client care including ambulation, personal hygiene, feeding, positionings, housekeeping, transportation, range of motion, toileting and incontinence care, meal planning and preparation, shopping and errands, companionship, and more.
• Escort clients to medical facilities, errands, shopping, and outings as specified in the care plan
• Submit written documentation to the office as required.
• Attend orientation, in-service training sessions, and staff meetings.
• Develop and maintain constructive and cooperative working relationships with others.
• Observe, receive, and obtain information from relevant sources.
• Report incidents or accidents immediately to Supervisor.
• Maintain client’s protected health information confidential and observe all client’s rights.
