Job summary

Assisting Hands Home Care is seeking compassionate caregivers to support clients in their homes across Norfolk and Suffolk Counties. You will assist with daily activities, meals, mobility, and medication reminders, while providing companionship and safety in a trusted, empathetic manner.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in English.
• Current CNA or HHA certification or caregiving experience.
• Nursing students seeking patient care experience.
• Previous home care experience is a plus, but kindness and eagerness matter most.
• Strong communication and a caring, empathetic approach.
• Ability to follow a care plan and provide patient-centered care.
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
• Ability to pass background checks.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with daily activities (bathing, dressing, grooming) to maintain dignity and comfort.
• Assist with mobility, transfers, light exercise or walking.
• Prepare and serve meals for healthy eating.
• Provide medication reminders; training provided.
• Provide companionship and engage in activities to brighten days.
• Show enthusiasm to help others and learn; maintain safety in homes.
• Maintain a clean and safe home environment for clients.
• Occasionally transport clients to appointments or errands; miles reimbursed.
