Job summary

Midwest Home Care in Madison, WI seeks compassionate caregiver to support older adults under a client care plan. You will provide companionship, assist with daily living activities, light housekeeping, and transportation as needed.

Responsibilities include meal preparation, hygiene support, bathing assistance, transferring, monitoring vital signs, and reminding clients to take medications. Travel within Dane County is required, and a background check will be conducted.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or the equivalent.
• Must have access to a reliable vehicle and a valid WI drivers license.
• Must pass a pre-employment background check.

Responsibilities

• Meal Preparation & Feeding - prepares meals and assists with feeding according to client care plan.
• Hygiene - assists with oral hygiene, provides skin care as assigned, observes standard precautions.
• Bathing- helps client with bath, cleanses hair.
• Transfers - assists client with bed to chair, chair to commode, etc., as needed.
• Toileting - assists with bladder/bowel care; changes incontinence underwear.
• Dressing - assists client with dressing.
• Walking/Ambulation - assists with walking as advised.
• Exercise assistance - assists with prescribed exercises.
• Medication reminders - reminds client to take medications as instructed.
