Job summary

Visiting Angels Longview is seeking compassionate in-home caregivers to enrich the lives of clients across East Texas. You will provide personal care, light housekeeping, meal prep, and transportation assistance, while offering companionship and support to promote wellness per individualized care plans.

Shifts include Full Time, Part Time, 8/10/12 hour options and PRN; training in dementia or Alzheimer’s care is offered for those seeking to broaden their skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver’s license, car insurance, and reliable vehicle.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• First Aid and emergency response training provided if needed.
• Ability to manage multiple duties with good time management.
• Reliable transportation to client homes.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with personal care and hygiene.
• Assist with light exercise or walks.
• Plan and prepare meals with clients.
• Light housekeeping duties.
• Report health changes or unusual incidents.
• Provide companionship and emotional support.
• Respond quickly in emergencies.
• Transport clients to appointments and errands.
• Assist with mobility and ambulation.
• Support adherence to dietary constraints.
