Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent; CPR certification preferred; strong communication and compassionate demeanor are essential to support clients and families in a home setting.

Qualifications

• Prior caregiver experience preferred but not required.
• CPR certification preferred.
• Willingness to adhere to health and safety standards.
• Knowledge of basic housekeeping and cooking with attention to dietary constraints.
• Respectful and compassionate bedside manner.
• Excellent communication, time management and interpersonal skills.
• Physical endurance to complete tasks.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with ambulation and mobility around the house or during appointments.
• Assist clients with personal care and hygiene.
• Help clients complete physical therapy and other exercises as prescribed.
• Run errands or accompany clients shopping as needed.
• Perform light housekeeping and meal preparation.
• Collect information about conditions and treatment plans from caregivers, nurses, doctors and family members.
• Report any unusual incidents to nurses, doctors and family members.
• Act quickly and responsibly in case of emergency.
