Job summary

Stand Out Home Care in Colorado's Arvada area seeks a Personal Care Provider (PCP) / Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to deliver non-medical home care in clients' homes, assisting with daily living, safety, and compassionate companionship according to care plans.

You will perform light housekeeping, meal prep, errands, and ADL support, and provide companionship while documenting visits and following agency policies.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Able to lift a minimum of 25 pounds.
• Free from communicable diseases, open skin lesions, or other health conditions that may interfere with job performance or client safety.
• Completion of required home care training and successful competency evaluation prior to providing direct client care.
• Ability to meet physical and mental demands of the position.

Responsibilities

• Observe and help maintain a safe and secure home environment.
• Report mechanical, structural, or safety concerns to management.
• Assist with meal preparation, light housekeeping, laundry, and dishwashing.
• Perform shopping and errands as outlined in the care plan.
• Assist clients with appointments and community activities.
• Provide companionship, conversation, and social interaction.
• Offer emotional reassurance and encouragement.
• Promote mental stimulation through reading, writing, and engaging activities.
• Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, oral care, hair care, shaving, and general nail care.
• Assist with toileting, incontinence care, pericare, bedpans, urinals, and commodes.
• Empty urinary collection devices and ostomy bags as outlined in the care plan.
• Assist with feeding and hydration.
• Provide assistance with exercise and mobility as specified in the service plan.
• Assist with ambulation for weight-bearing clients using assistive devices.
• Perform transfers as outlined in the care plan.
• Provide general skin care to unbroken, healthy skin.
• Provide medication reminders and prompting only.
• Assist with limited respiratory support, including temporary removal and replacement of a cannula for grooming or hygiene.
• Provide protective oversight and standby assistance as required.
• Complete visit documentation for each service provided.
• Documentation must include date, time in/out, services performed, and client signature.
