Addus HomeCare is seeking an entry-level Direct Support Professional in Maynardville, TN. Earn up to $15.68 per hour and help seniors and disabled clients live independently with solutions that fit a flexible schedule.

You’ll follow care plans, assist with daily living tasks, transport clients to appointments, and report changes in condition. This role is ideal for compassionate individuals seeking meaningful work in a growing home care organization.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and one year of in-home care services experience.
• Able to pass a criminal background check.
• Reliable transportation; valid driver’s license and proof of insurance required.
• Ability to work with limited supervision and follow written/verbal instructions.
• Good communication skills.
• Reliable, energetic, self-motivated, and well-organized.
• Comfortable using an electronic device.

Responsibilities

• Follow a care plan for the member and report on completed tasks.
• Assist people with personal care (bathing, dressing, etc.).
• Support routine house cleaning, laundry, and assist with meal preparation.
• Transport members to appointments, daily errands, and other locations as necessary.
• Assist member with the self-administration of medications (no administering or measuring).
• Observe and report any changes in member's condition.
