Job summary

Comforthorizoncare is seeking dedicated Home Care Assistants to support seniors and individuals with disabilities in their own homes. You will provide personal care, companionship, meal preparation, and mobility support to help clients live safely and independently. Applicants should have a high school diploma, reliable transportation, and a compassionate, patient demeanor.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous caregiving experience preferred but not required.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Compassionate, patient, and reliable personality.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Clean background check and drug screening.
• CPR certification preferred (we can help you obtain).
• Flexibility to work various shifts.
• Ongoing training and professional development.
• Supportive work environment.
• Mileage reimbursement for client visits.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with personal hygiene (bathing, dressing, grooming).
• Provide companionship and emotional support.
• Help with meal preparation and feeding assistance.
• Support mobility and safe movement throughout the home.
• Provide medication reminders and assistance.
• Perform light housekeeping tasks.
• Monitor and report changes in client condition.
• Communicate effectively with clients, families, and care team.
