Visiting Angels Athens is seeking a Patient Care Assistant (PCA) to support local seniors with compassionate in-home care. You will assist with daily activities, mobility, meals, and transportation, while growing your caregiving skills.

The role emphasizes reliability, empathy, and strong communication. Training in dementia or Alzheimer’s care is available, and a welcoming team environment invites personal growth and community impact.

Formación

• Must have a passion to serve others as a caregiver.
• Excellent knowledge of emergency response and first aid.
• Able to manage time effectively and stay organized.
• Respectful, compassionate, and ethical.
• Physical stamina to perform daily tasks.

Responsabilidades

• Help clients take prescribed medication
• Assist clients with ambulation and mobility around the house or outside
• Assist clients with personal care and hygiene
• Help clients with routine exercises
• Plan and prepare meals with assistance from the clients (when they are able)
• Do the client’s shopping or accompany them when they shop
• Perform light housekeeping duties that clients can’t complete on their own
• Be a pleasant and supportive companion
• Report any unusual incidents
• Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency
