Job summary

Guardian Angel Senior Services is seeking a Personal Care Assistant (PCA) to support elderly and disabled clients in their homes in and around Pittsfield, MA. You can work as a Companion or as a Personal Care Provider with flexible, self-determined scheduling.

No experience is required; training will be provided. Responsibilities include daily living tasks, light housekeeping, meal planning with client input, and compassionate companionship.

Qualifications

• Training available upon hire.
• Ability to write, read, and speak English fluently.

Responsibilities

• Assisting clients with personal hygiene and getting dressed
• Performing general cleaning duties
• Assisting with eating
• Assist with shopping errands.
• Medication Reminders
• Perform light housekeeping duties.
• Maintaining cleanliness and orderliness of the home
• Shopping for groceries and household supplies
• Vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping.
• Cleaning rooms, halls, and bathrooms
• Emptying and replacing trash containers
• Plan and prepare meals with assistance from the client.
• Be a pleasant and supportive companion.
• Report any unusual incidents.
• Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergencies.
