Job summary

Right at Home UK is seeking compassionate Home Care Aides to join our team in providing personalized in-home care. You will assist with daily living activities, meal prep, mobility, companionship, and light housekeeping to ensure clients maintain comfort and dignity at home.

We value excellent communication, empathy, and reliability. Flexible hours including evenings and weekends are available, with training and ongoing support provided by the care team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in caregiving or related fields is preferred.
• Compassionate and patient with a genuine desire to improve the quality of life for others.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to follow care plans and adapt to the changing needs of clients.
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Personal Care Assistance: Assist clients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
• Meal Preparation: Prepare nutritious meals based on clients' dietary preferences and restrictions.
• Mobility Assistance: Help clients with mobility challenges by providing assistance with walking, transfers, and exercises as prescribed by healthcare professionals.
• Companionship: Engage in friendly conversation, companionship, and recreational activities to promote emotional well-being.
• Light Housekeeping: Perform light housekeeping duties such as laundry, vacuuming, and maintaining a clean and organized living environment.
• Transportation: Accompany clients to medical appointments, grocery shopping, and other errands as needed.
• Monitoring Health Conditions: Observe and report any changes in clients' health conditions to the appropriate healthcare professionals or family members.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely records of care provided, including daily activities, observations, and any changes in clients' conditions.
• Communication: Collaborate with healthcare professionals, family members, and other team members to ensure a comprehensive and coordinated approach to care.
